Types of Bipolar Brain Disorder

Bipolar Brain Disorder or depression is basically a brain disorder that affects the functioning of the brain of a person. Bipolar Disorder is a serious disorder that directly affects the mood, psychological well being and energy of a person. Although this brain disorder can be harmful enough to result in suicidal attempts or suicide by a person, the good news is that Bipolar Brain Disorder is curable. Bipolar Disorder is of two types: Bipolar-I and Bipolar-II.

Bipolar-I

Bipolar-I is a stage of high-mood swing or mania, where a person becomes hyper active and involved into his aims or goals. The high mood stage causes extreme self confidence, urge to pursue work/objectives/targets, need to stay occupied with pleasurable activities as well as lack of desire to sleep. The too much energy and hyper-mood could also result in hospitalization due to inability to stay normal. Often, the most harmful affect of Bipolar-I or mania stage is seen on the health of the person, his relationships and style of work and thinking.

Bipolar-II

Bipolar-II is quite the opposite of Bipolar-I and symptoms of depression in a person. Although, a person might show few signs of mania or hyper mood but it is only for 3-4 days. The major characteristics of Bipolar-II disorder are sadness, lack of motivation, guilt attacks over small things or nothing at all, lack of positivism and energy.

The basic symptoms of Bipolar Brain Disorder are mood swing, hyper or down mood, irritability, depression, behavioral changes and more.
